Adult Safe Environment Awareness Sessions/Training process for every volunteer at Holy Cross.
Our Diocese requires every volunteer in any ministry to take Safe Environment classes in order to serve. The purpose of this class is to create awareness. Here is the website for the diocese with the details on how to register for these classes. Please follow the instructions provided on the website below. The first step in this process is to create a VIRTUS profile on the diocese website. If you have already created a profile, please do not create a new one.
Please sign up for a class through your VIRTUS profile. Here is some clarification on which class to sign up for: If you have already attended Protecting God’s Children for Adults session (PGC), the renewal class to sign up for is called Renewal – Keeping the Promise Alive sessions (KPA). Each class is valid for two years.
If you do not have a VIRTUS profile, you have not attended the first class. This new process started about 4 years ago. If you last did your training two/three years ago, you will most likely need the renewal. If you do not remember when you last took your class, please log into your VIRTUS account to get those details. Click forgotten password or forgotten user ID. If that fails, email or call me!
You will be asked to sign the Code of Conduct online when you create your profile. I will have a packet of forms to give each of you when you attend the class. We are required to keep a packet on each person so please drop it off after you complete it. I will leave packets on my desk if you wish to pick one up before a class. If you wish to access the forms online, follow the steps on this link. You can fill, print and please drop off the forms at the office.
To follow the steps and sign up/ Siga los pasos de este enlace para registrarse. No es necesario que complete todos los formularios en línea, ya que le daré los formularios requeridos. Firme el código de conducta solo en línea
